For the next 3 days, Day 6, 7 & 8of My Life Choice Challenge – I am at the National Achievers Congress in Sydney seeing Tony Robbins, Robert Kiyosaki, T. Harv Eker and Donald Trump to name but a few.
For my challenge however this is a little bit of a challenge as other than some walking between events there will be mostly sitting down and listening and I don’t know about you but the munchies are inevitable at times like these. So before getting there I packed some fruit and knew I was going to need to be flexible.
One thing I had not counted on was the freezing air conditioning made worse by delightful summer weather outside. So my first flexible gesture was a hot chocolate. I did however manage to keep to my regime with this odd exception certainly the hour trip home become the worst time and I would get very peckish!!
It is worth mentioning here that at times like these when all normal routines are broken you can only ensure that you keep in mind the bigger picture first, that of the long term goal whilst being as flexible as possible and not beating yourself up, if like my hot chocolate you wish to bend the rules a little to save you breaking them completely.
Anthony Robbins stated “I believe life is constantly testing us for our level of commitment, and life’s greatest rewards are reserved for those who demonstrate a never-ending commitment to act until they achieve. This level of resolve can move mountains, but it must be constant and consistent. As simplistic as this may sound, it is still the common denominator separating those who live their dreams from those who live in regret.”
These men and the other presenters were totally engaging and my small goal seemed insignificant with their words. A wonderful three days spent amidst inspirational people.
